Our world is constantly changing. Carbon emissions and global warming are the buzz words of today
and through the media we are bombarded with stories of climate change on a daily basis. For every action there is an equal and opposite
reaction and mans greed and avarice in an effort to produce more at the expense of the environment has brought us to this. Parallels can be
drawn within the world of investment where overpaid executives and glorified salesmen have brought the financial world to its knees.
Just as there must be a global rethink on investment strategies, the world must transform its current energy system on a global scale. It is expected that 60% of all our energy will come from renewable energy by the year 2070. The World Solar Summit, World Solar Decade and the World Bank have allocated over two billion dollars to projects dealing with renewable energy and the environment. Solar Panels
are not the magic bullet but are a means of generating power from a source that is virtually free from negative environmental effects and will be around
for a very very long time.
Spain is leading the way with regard to encouraging the growth of Photovoltaic solar farms with a view of ultimately having no domestic energy derived from the burning of fossil fuels.
